I was born and raised in Montgomery. I went to Forest Avenue Elementary School, Brewbaker Junior High, and The Montgomery Academy. I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Troy State University in 1998. I began teaching at Brewbaker Primary School and then transferred to Forest Avenue Academic Magnet School in 2001. In 2005, I completed my Masters at Alabama State University. I have been married to Barry for 23 years. We have one daughter, Anna Claire, who is a senior at WHS this year. We attend Mulder Church and are actively involved. I love Auburn sports, especially football and gymnastics. My favorite things to do in my free time are shop, read, run, work out, and spend time at the beach or lake. I love Chick-Fil-A and Mexican food, bottled water, Diet Dr. Pepper, peanut butter M & M's, Dairy Queen Blizzards, Dot's Pretzels (original), and Cheeze-Its.
