Bio

My name is Misty Trussell. I have lived in Wetumpka, Alabama since I was three years old.I went to all of the Wetumpka Schools from K through 12th grade. I am now starting my 21st year of teaching in Elmore County.I taught 2nd grade for 5 years in Millbrook at Robinson Springs Elementary, 3rd grade for 7 years at Wetumpka Elementary, and I am so excited about starting my 21st  year of teaching 3rd grade at Redland Elementary School. My husband (Joe) and I have been married for 11 years and 5 months. He is a teacher at Wetumpka High School. I love going to church, spending time with my family, singing, and shopping! We have two beautiful dogs named Jackie Bell and Jesse. My favorite places to eat are Zoe's, Firebird's and Eastside Grill in Montgomery, and I love, love, love sweets (especially chocolate) !  Alabama is my favorite football team. Teaching children is very rewarding for me, because I get to see each child reach goals and feel successful in school and in life!We like to be creative with education in our classroom! Let's have an exciting year!
