Bio

Hello!!! Welcome to Sixth grade at Redland Elementary School. I am LaDedra D. Frazier and I will be your child's 6th grade teacher this year. I am so excited to be working with your child this year! I am looking forward to seeing each of you several times throughout the school year. Moreover, I have planned many exciting educational experiences for your child in the upcoming months.

I was born on August 21st in Greenwood, Mississippi where I attended Elementary, Junior High, and High School. After graduation I relocated to Montgomery, AL and attended Alabama State University where I earned a Bachelor's of Social Work Degree. After graduation I remained in Montgomery to care for my elderly grandparents. On June 2, 2007, I gave birth to a beautiful daughter named Jada Nicole Bacon Frazier who is 10 years of age and a 5th grader here at RES! Moreover, I am married to Coach Michael E. Frazier and he is awesome! I have one sibling (brother) who is a freshman in college.  Also, my father is a Major in the United States of America Army and is currently stationed at Fort Hood with my loving mother who is also employed at Fort Hood.

Recently, I decided to further my education and attended Auburn University Montgomery, earnung a second Master's Degree in Instructional Leadership. I love working with and helping children grow and supercede their own expectations. Moreover, I love teaching math because math is such a rewarding subject for both myself and the students! Students enter my class with doubts and fears as it pertains to mathematics because they often feel as if the problems are too hard or they simply think they can not grasp the concepts. However, after working with the students using guided practice, modeling, and several hands on activities I love to see that "light" that comes on and the students suddenly realize they can handle the challenge of excelling at mathematics.

Ultimately, I am here to serve and help each of my students and their parents in any educational capacity that I can, therefore, please feel free to contact me through e-mail at ladedra.frazier@elmoreco.com anytime throughout the school year. My door will always be open to and for you!
